An overview of the history of Malaga Island, Maine, from its settlement, through the events of the documentary, to the present day.

The premier broadcast is Thursday, February 26 at 7:30pm on WMPG-FM. In Portland, you can hear the program at 90.9FM and 104.1FM. Outside of Portland you can listen at WMPG.org the night of the show.

The gallery opening will take place at Salt, 561 Congress Street in Portland, Friday, February 27, from 6-9pm. The gallery show includes photographs of the island today and constructed images from historical documents and old postcards plus a presentation of the radio program. A panel discussion featuring Malaga Island descendents and experts will follow the radio documentary. Additionally, artifacts from archeological work conducted at the island will be on display. Doors open at 6:00pm, the radio presentation takes place at 7:00pm followed by public conversation at 8:00pm.
